Snapryde

SnapRyde is a university-based ride-sharing platform designed to connect students for safe, affordable, and eco-friendly transportation.

Project Overview

SnapRyde is a university-based ride-sharing platform designed to connect students for safe, affordable, and eco-friendly transportation. The app enables students to offer or request rides within campus and nearby areas, fostering community connections while solving last-mile travel challenges.

As the UX Designer, I was responsible for end-to-end design—from brand identity and logo creation to UI/UX for the mobile app. I led user research, feature planning, usability testing, and worked closely with developers to ensure a smooth, intuitive user experience tailored to student needs.

The Challenge
  • Designing for a Niche Audience (University Students)
  • Building Trust in Peer-to-Peer Ride Sharing
  • Simplifying the Ride Booking Process
  • Aligning Brand Identity with Student Culture
  • Maintaining Real-Time Accuracy and Reliability
The Solution
  • Conducted user research, surveys, and interviews with students to understand transportation habits, safety concerns, and ride-sharing preferences.
  • Implemented profile verification using university email authentication and ID upload features.
  • Created a minimal, mobile-first interface with a 3-step ride booking flow: Select Route → Confirm Ride → Track in Real Time.
  • Designed a youthful, energetic brand identity—including logo, color palette, and micro-interactions—that resonated with university life.
  • Collaborated with developers to integrate real-time GPS tracking and push notifications.
